1980 Plymouth Trailduster
| December 2, 2006
It started as your basic SUV with typical body damage and some cancer spots, bad paint and not running. I bought it for $150.00 bolted up the converter and began the process to get it where it is today. The current modifications include; Custom Hood, custom Tailgate, and the center piece of the mods was the roof. I did not simply close it in as so many other have in the past. I modified the original top and left the top completely open so that it is more or less a hard top canopy. There are so many other slight mods that really make this ride stand out. The grill was hand drilled, sanded and painted with 1070, 5/8 inch holes. Although this ride is my daily driver, it has also been adapted and modified for Mud Racing. I do park it from time to time to do more work and modifications. Future modifications to complete my vision will include a All leaf suspension lift, some larger shoes, completing the interior and the sound system, which will be water proof, and of course more horses under the hood. You may have noticed it is currently a black and white basic paint job, dont be fooled. This is only the base coat primer stage. Eventually, no one will be able to mistake this ride, once it is in it's Garfield Orange paint and Graphics. The proudest point I must make about this ride, is that all the pieces are original, from the grill to the tailgate. Original pieces were used to modify it to it's current state.
