| July 24, 2007
2500 pound autocross car with smiled on normally aspirated 3.8 Liter Buick even-fire V6. Engine modifications include Crower steel rods, forged 9.5:1 compression ratio pistons, 280 degree duration half inch lift cam, roller rockers, bigger valves and many other improvements. Chassis is stiffened using a low tubular cage with integrated roll bar hoop. Measured weight distribution is 48% front 52% rear without the driver. Transmission is Muncie M21 4-speed with alloy case and close ratio gears; the differential is from a Corvette C3 with Posi Traction. Rear suspension is homemade 3-link independent with custom made half-shafts and Summers Brothers stub axles. Front suspension has much stronger chrome molly spindles and is set-up per R. W. Kastner's recommendations. This car accelerates fast, stops well, turns-in quick, and is a blast to drive!!
