1976 AMC Pacer X
| September 26, 2007
I built a 10-second Pacer drag car in 1987 and raced it for 8 years. I later sold it and bought an Pro-Mod Trans Am. Years later I realized I missed the Pacer, so when my daughter was nearing driving age, I decided we had to build a daily-driver Pacer for her. It kind of snowballed into an all-out restification, complete with a 4.5L EFI Jeep engine and 700R4. We finished it on the day we left town (with only 25 miles on the car) to begin the 2007 Hot Rod Power Tour 1100 miles away in Cleveland. We made the whole 2600 mile tour without any problems and the car is featured in the November Hot Rod Magazine! My daughter is making a web site. It's at www.MoPacer.com! Take a look and sign her guestbook. Thanks Jay, for the best gearhead website on the planet! I also have to thank John Glorioso for motivating me to finish the car in time for the Power Tour. See ya next year on Power Tour!
