1937 Cadillac Sightseeing Bus
| April 11, 2008
This cool vehicle is a lengthened, 8-cylinder Cadillac capable of comfortably transporting 12 passengers.
In 1937, The Yosemite Transportation Company of Yosemite National park in California purchased 20 of these buses to be used for sightseeing throughout the beautiful park. The buses, as you can see from the photo, came with a canvas top which could be rolled back, weather permitting. With the roof panel rolled back, tourists were afforded a much better view of the incredible sights of the park.
These tourist buses were known to be actively used in the park for nearly 20 years. Upon retirement, this Caddy found a home at the Harrah Auto Collection.
